The weaknesses in a company become apparent via this process, and occasionally, pinpointing the causes that give rise to the weaknesses could be done with ease. However, at times such weaknesses are the implications of other shortcomings that may prove to be totally irrelevant to the department suffering from a problematic issue. For instance, a weakness in sales department might be due to other shortcomings in manufacturing and distribution, customer service, external interactions or even the IT Department but not the sales department itself. By definition, determining the main cause of a weakness in an organization is referred to as Determining Organizational Problems Processes.
Discovering the fountain-head of a weakness in an organization could prove to be a complex issue necessitating a complex and relatively precise paradigm engulfing discovering the cause and effect and their subsequent relations with the organizational processes.
The starting point for determining organizational problems is obtaining precise data relevant to assessment of the prevailing processes. By correlating data regarding processes’ assessments and adequate field-work the weakness could be effectively diagnosed and the necessary measures taken in order to fix it. In other words it could be stated that problem diagnosis complements the process of assessment and its prerequisite is conducting a thorough and precise assessment.
